About UPTS
For most of my life, I’ve been the ‘I know a guy….’
I’ve been the ‘I know a guy…’ for audio, video, mobile and computer support practically my entire life. Starting way back in the 80s when I was cutting 6x9 speaker holes in my friend’s high school beater cars all the way to today where I help my family and friends with their PCs and laptops, printers, phones, WiFi routers, Home Theater equipment and Smart TVs - you name it.
I’ve grew up outside Chicago and moved to Colorado with my wife in 2010. She grew up out here (Fairview HS in Boulder, MSU grad in Aviation) and we decided to relocate to be closer to her family. Best decision I ever made.
The name - ‘Uncle Phil’s Tech Support’ was a bit of a family joke as I was the one who always assisted my Uncle Phil in Gary, Indiana with his PC needs during each holiday get together. It became a little bit of a laugh that each time we got together, there was a slightly sheepish request for some ‘Uncle Phil’s Tech Support'. Always happy to do so as he just needed an occasional helping hand.
Now that he and his wife, my Aunt Marion, have both passed, I’ve decided to branch out and help other ‘Uncle Phils’ in person in the Denver metro areas or even nationalwide as possible via remote connections.
So think of me as the guy you’d love to be able to lean on to fix Mom and Dad’s iPhone or laptop and even though you know you can take care of it for them, you just don’t have the time to get over to their home and deal with it.
Or also think of me as your son or grandson who you’d love to call to help figure out why you can’t get the new device you just bought to connect to your WiFi or how to make your printer work, but you just don’t want to bother them.
For all these things, I’m your guy.
